My name is Lori Brown. I am a proud Timberwolf. My boys are Timberwolves too, in Grade 3 and Grade 1 this school year. I can honestly say that I have never felt so welcomed and supported as I have here at Timberlea Public School, and it is my hope that you and your child feel the same.

I was born and raised in Newfoundland. I moved to Fort Mcmurray in 2009, after finishing my Bachelor of Education from Memorial University. I spent my first two years here as a substitute teacher for FMPSD, followed by 10+ years as an Early Childhood Educator. I also taught Reggio-Inspired ECDP in 2016. That contract was unfortunately cut short by the fire, but from the ashes of our home came our miracle son, followed two years later by his little brother. In 2021 I stopped working full-time in order to spend more time with my children. For two years I worked part-time as a substitute teacher for FMPSD in ECDP & Kindergarten classrooms. This is now my third year teaching half-time ECDP at Timberlea Public School.

I am passionate about early childhood development and learning through play. I have found my home in ECDP, and I can’t wait for your child to be part of our classroom family. Please know that my door is always open. I pride myself on building strong relationships with my students and their families.

I welcome you and your child to the Timberwolf family for the 2024-2025 school year.
