Ms. Brown
ECDP
My name is Lori Brown. This is my second year teaching half-time ECDP at Timberlea Public School. I can honestly say that I have never felt so welcomed and supported as I have here, and my hope is that you and your child feel the same.
I was born and raised in Newfoundland. I moved to Fort Mcmurray in 2009, after finishing my Bachelor of Education (Primary/Elementary) from Memorial University. I spent my first two years here as a substitute teacher for FMPSD. Between 2010 and 2021 I spent the majority of my time as an Early Childhood Educator. I accepted a position as Reggio-Inspired ECDP Teacher in January 2016. That contract was cut short by the fire. From the ashes came our miracle baby boy, followed two years later by his little brother. I stopped working full time in 2021 to spend more time with my children, working part-time as a substitute teacher for FMPSD until coming to Timberlea Public last year. My boys attend Timberlea Public and will be going to Grade 2 and Kindergarten. I am passionate about early childhood education and learning through play. I have found my niche in ECDP. I am very excited for the year ahead, as I learn and grow with my students.
I welcome you and your child to the Timberwolf family for the 2024-2025 school year.
