Grade One/Two
My name is Natasha Locke and I teach Grade 1-2 combined here at Timberlea Public. This is my second year teaching at Timberlea school. I have also taught at Walter and Gladys Hill, Anzac Community School as well as substituted at various schools within both school Districts here in Fort McMurray. I grew up in Newfoundland but Fort McMurray has been home for over 13 years now.
I graduated from the bachelor of Education program here through the University of Alberta in 2013 as my after degree. I also hold a Degree in Community Studies. I have 2 beautiful children, both boys, ages 6 and 8. A long string of events have led me to becoming a teacher. My heart knew what it wanted long before I ever did. I absolutely love teaching and helping my students believe in their strengths and grow every day.
