"Love Train"
Timberlea School's "Love Train" rolled through student neighbourhoods on the afternoon of Thursday May 7 and was a great success! It was a very heartwarming experience for us to see so many smiling faces and excitement. Special thanks to Ms. Skinner and to everyone who came out to say Hi!

March Virtue Assembly Certificates
In-school classes were cancelled shortly before we were to host our monthly virtue assembly on Tue. Mar. 17. Timberlea staff discussed the possibility of issuing Timberwolf Award certificates at our Google meeting on Friday. We will get them printed off this week and send them out in the mail as soon as possible.

Parent Survey - School Re-entry for 2020-21
The Alberta School Councils Association (ASCA) has been involved in preliminary consultations, along with other partners in education, primarily presenting policy perspectives on health and safety. Representing parents on school councils in Alberta, it is important that ASCA collects a provincial perspective on this matter.

Please contribute input with this online survey link by May 14, 2020.

Arctic Winter Games 2022 - Mascot contest
The Arctic Winter Games 2022 is currently seeking submissions for their mascot. The contest is open for children ages 5-12. Students can choose from a lynx, beaver, buffalo or raven and then design the costume using the official Arctic Winter Games colours (teal, blue and purple).

The winner will receive a prize pack, get to participate in the design of the mascot colouring book, and be the guest of honour at the Mascot Review party (once physical distancing is no longer required). Submissions can be sent to jerry.neville@rmwb.ca. More information and examples can be found on the Arctic Winter Games 2022 Facebook page
